Monument is a modern approach to
health and physiotherapy.
Strong Foundations. Limitless Living.
Our Philosophy
At Monument, we believe health is built like a monument — with intention, strength, and care. Every body tells a story, and we’re here to help you write one of resilience, movement, and freedom.
We don’t just treat injuries — we build stronger foundations so you can move better, feel better, and live fully. Whether you’re recovering, optimizing, or just starting your wellness journey, our team meets you where you are and empowers you to reach higher.
Because your health is more than a moment. It’s a monument to what’s possible.
Our Services
Physiotherapy
We don’t just treat symptoms — we listen, assess thoroughly, and get to the root of your concern.
You’ll receive one-on-one attention for your entire session, with no therapist jumping between rooms. We respect your time and the complexity of your condition.
Our goal is simple: to provide clear solutions and personalized strategies that help you move better, stay active, and live without limits. Together, we’ll create a plan that’s safe, progressive, and built around your goals.
Techniques our therapist have include dry needling, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and more.
Massage
Massage therapy is more than relaxation — it’s an essential part of your recovery, performance, and overall well-being.
Our Registered Massage Therapists work in sync with our team to address muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve mobility — all with your goals in mind. Whether you're managing an injury, prepping for a big race, or simply unwinding from a busy life, every session is personalized, focused, and rooted in clinical expertise.
You’ll receive hands-on care that targets the source, supports your movement, and complements your lifestyle.
Kinesiology
Kinesiology bridges the gap between rehab and performance. Whether you're recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or building strength and function, our kinesiologists create customized exercise programs that move you forward — safely and effectively.
Working alongside our physiotherapists, our kinesiologists provide one-on-one, goal-driven sessions that focus on functional movement, proper technique, and long-term resilience. Every plan is tailored to where you are now — and where you want to go.
Our kinesiologist works with ICBC to provide active rehab services to patients involved in a motor vehicle accident.
Personal Training
personal training is built on the same foundation as our rehab care: expert attention, individualized planning, and long-term results.
Our certified trainers design programs that are safe, effective, and aligned with your goals — whether you're returning from injury, improving athletic performance, or building a healthier, more resilient body.
Every session is focused, and thoughtfully progressed. No guesswork. No cookie-cutter plans. Just strategic movement that builds strength, enhances mobility, and helps you stay active for life.

Lam Nguyen
Physiotherapist, Founder
Lam is proud to have opened a clinic centred around his passions and within a community he cares deeply about.
Lam’s journey into the world of health and movement started with his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. After that, he returned to his hometown of Vancouver to work as a Clinical Kinesiologist, specializing in active rehabilitation. Inspired to help others, Lam also dedicated time to volunteering abroad at rehab hospitals before pursuing his Masters in Physical Therapy from UBC. Lam sees patients of all ages and athletic backgrounds and believes that a strong understanding of clinical biomechanics is fundamental to providing an individualized treatment plan. Dry needling, manual therapy and exercise prescriptions are just a few of his many tools to help his patients achieve their goals. His clinical practice includes the management of a variety of acute and chronic sport or work-related injuries.
When he’s not busy with physiotherapy, you can find Lam out on the golf course or local waters fishing for his next big catch.

Tyson Brooks
Physiotherapist, Clinic Manager
Growing up in Ladner, and now having put down roots with his family in Tsawwassen, Tyson developed a love for the variety of activities available to those of us who call the lower mainland home. With his early years marked by snowboarding and volleyball – and later endeavors leading him to try everything from mountain biking and surfing to golf and hockey (admittedly still smoothing out some pretty rough edges) – he knows how central an active lifestyle is to the identity of the west coast. Having graduated from UBC with his Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy and pursued further education and certifications in athletic and vestibular rehab, Tyson now enjoys incorporating the latest approaches and technologies to optimize recovery and performance in a wide variety of clients. Whether you’re a high-level athlete looking to return to competition after an ACL repair, or a tenured local wanting to keep up your daily walks along Centennial Beach – his aim is not to simply return you to your baseline, but to help you reach your own personal goals. Tyson prides himself on being approachable and practical in the physio services he provides in the clinic, and his hope is for you to leave with not only the confidence in understanding what to do, but why you’re doing it.
